Ryan builds a black bass farm, but landlord Tom seizes the pond. Tom mismanages it and loses money. Ryan restarts on a waste pond, masters fish farming, and wins a restaurant contract. Tom steals fry, loses his fish, and flees in debt while Ryan expands.
